Stella’s Medical Fund

Stella Faith Musiiwa (nee Mutondoro) has dedicated over 20years of her career working for the conservation of nature with IUCN, based in Zimbabwe. Those who know Stella will tell you about how she’s always there to help, no matter what time of the day and no matter how much she has on her plate at the time. Stella is the kind of person that will always put her own needs to one side and be there for you, more often than not with a gentle smile.

It’s now time for all of us to rally around and extend our support to Stella. On the 9^th of November 2016, Stella suffered a brain aneurysm and further developed right sided hemiparesis as a result of a stroke and has been in Intensive Care since that time. She was transferred to Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa and underwent a successful procedure on the 5^th of December 2016 . She remains in ICU and doctors continue to monitor her progress.

Her family and loved ones are doing everything they possibly can to ensure she has the best medical care available to help her through to a full recovery. However, the financial cost is considerable and this is an extremely difficult time for Stella and her family.

We are therefore reaching out to everybody as far and as wide as we can. Please help us to raise the US$50,000 that Stella needs for her medical treatment and recovery – any amount that you help with will go a very long way!
