Starving Filmmaker Needs Support for Her Masterclass in Serbia

Hi, everyone!

My name is Nora Nabila and I am a documentary filmmaker. This year, I am invited to attend the 8th International Masterclass by Independent Film Center, Filmart in Serbia from 18th - 28th August 2018.

Although it was uncommon choice of visit, but as a documentary filmmaker, it is important for me to breach the gap between what I know and who I can be through this opportunity. I believe this experience will allow me to tell better stories about the community that I serve.

To date, I have made about 30 documentaries where I document issues around undeserved communities and people who make social changes. And today, I need you to help fund my expenses for the masterclass.

Below is my cost breakdown:
a. Travelling with economy flight (2 transit) KL - Serbia; 824 Euro
b. Classes fees; 580 Euro
c. Visa arrangement; 100 Euro

In return, if you are interested in visual storytelling, I would be more than happy to share my experience from the trip with you. On top of that, I am also currently making arrangements with two residence (visual) artists in Serbia for a collaboration in between my classes which I can also share with you.

For those of you who love traditional postcard/pictures, I usually capture images with my DSLR and print the best ones with a note behind it to be mailed to my friends. Let me know if you'd like one!
