Hi, my Name is Jaedon Thabani Mhlanga, l have been buying cabbage from the local farmers putting markup and reselling it to chain stores in Mpumalanga, l have over the past year built a strong market for the cabbage with chain stores ordering from me.
My clients in the major retail space include Spar chains, Boxer chains, PicknPay stores, SaveRite, and other major stores with an endless list of small scale retail and informal Veg's Traders. In short, l have a ready market which you can verify.
However l have been more like working for the farmers who grossly benefited from my initiative leaving me with almost nothing after taking care of operational costs.
There is a family that noticed what l was doing and how it benefited the farmer, the offered me a farm to produce my own veges to help me unlock value and benefits.
The good thing is they gave me a 2year lease and the lease payments are per harvest and at a fixed amount which is next to nothing compared to what l will be generating. I had been saving since l started last year November however l hit a snag from March, since the shutdown l started on my savings as l needed to make ends meet since l have a family and to date l am on zero.
I am seeking assistance to pay for a local farmer to till the land as l do not have a tractor yet or if anyone can offer their tractor instead it will work even better, l also am in need a donation for cabbage and spinach seedlings if anyone has or financial assistance just to purchase. You can pay the supplier directly, all l need are seedlings.
I had wanted to start on the first of June but people have been promising with nothing coming through.
A breakdown of my needs list
1. Tractor hire
4. Diesel (Operations)
5. Repairs to the existing water tank
The farm is in Wakkerstroom in Mpumalanga, South Africa
A donation of the seedlings or assistance in cash donations even R100 will get me started.
Your assistance in helping me will be appreciated.
I can provide details that you may need including my Seedlings supplier bank details.
