Good day to all kind hearted netizens,

I'm Daniel from the Philippines. I am asking for any help in financing my post graduate studies in a prestigious state university in the Philippines (University of the Philippines). Im going to take up Post Graduate studies in exercise and sports science.

To give an insight as to how i ended up pursuing post grad studies, I will share my story.

The downward spiral

I have been chubby ever since. I lost weight college days (took up business management) but got married right after graduating then had a son. My parents encouraged me to pursue entrepreneurship. But things changed from good to bad to worse. Right after starting my small business, my dad suffered a terrible stroke leaving half of his body paralyzed. I was helping out a lot at home, even shelling out my own money to ease the hardships experienced at home (some assets were sold but a lot were foreclosed). Then my business was slowly dying since I was using money for expansion to help out and for other expenses. During this time I got depressed, and I ended up gaining back my weight and more. I had high bp during a tooth operation which almost got terminated. That was what shook me back to reality.

Getting back on my feet

Shocked with my bp results, I realized that I cannot end up being unhealthy and suffering the same fate as my dad. I have my son and my wife depending on me. So I started picking things up. Since I was an athlete (I represented my university in fencing nationally), I decided to workout. I read books, articles, scientific researches on how to properly lose weight. I dropped from 260lbs to 180. Then things went better. I got asked to play for a semi commercial basketball team which started my strength training journey. After my basketball journey, i continued lifting weights then was asked to freelance at a local gym to help others lose weight as well. I already have a dog breeding business going on but saw that this is my calling. I needed to give back to others that were not fortunate enough to be able to lose weight, since fitness pulled me out of the darkness I was in.

I need your help

I started freelancing along with dog breeding. I had low self esteem but my trainees and my wife pushed me to apply for post grad studies. I didnt believe I could get in, since it was ahard to get in that school due to standards. I got accepted. My son is attending school as well, and I am living far away from my school and commute is very expensive. I am now having probelms with my finances. I do not want to let my finances be my hindrance from this once in a lifetime opportunity. Tried applying for a job but things are not going that well. I am still loking for other ways to finance my studies while typing this. The amount posted is the cost of tuition for the whole program. I think I could finance my commute and miscellaneous but am finding it hard financing the tuition fee.

I promise

If I get high grades for the first semester, I could qualify for scholarship. I am aiming for this one so that whatever donation i get would end up on my commuting budget. I know that by finishing my studies, it would open better opportunities for me and help me get back on my feet. I promise to continue to help others with their fitness goals. This is my calling and am asking for your help to keep this burning. Thank you and more power.
