First, thank you for taking the time to read this. With so many people in difficult situations, I feel very appreciative that someone is also thinking of my family.

I have three beautiful younger siblings that I have raised since birth. At 9, 10 and 13 they have already faced great difficulty growing up. Their biological father was a heavy drug user and prominent dealer. Unfortunately, they had to deal with physical and verbal abuse for many years.

We’re still in contact with our biological mother, but it’s difficult for them to understand that she has a mental illness and can’t always be there for them. Because of these issues, all four of us were given custody to our Great-Grandparents.

However, this year those grandparents passed away in our home. 5 months apart from each other.

They both had cancer, our grandmother fighting her battle for 2 years, eventually losing the ability to walk and talk. Our grandfather was a different story. In three short weeks he went from being perfectly normal to being confined to his chair and passing. They loved each other very much and had been together for over 50 years.

As these were the only real parents they knew, my siblings went through a very emotional few months. They were blaming themselves, afraid to sleep at night in case "death" happened to someone else they loved. We slept many nights together in the same bed because they were afraid of losing me too.

Since I am young, (19) my aunt and uncle were kind enough to adopt my siblings, but this comes with difficulties. The state does not give them benefits anymore, the adoption fees are outrageous. My aunt and uncle have very low paying jobs (a bus driver and a babysitter). I moved away to pursue my education and although I have a job, I can barely afford the many bills that come with living on your own and cannot send any money back (hurray for minimum wage).

To top this off, one of my siblings was very badly burned in a freak camping accident that could not be controlled. Third degree burns on both of his legs cause him to be in great pain and require a lot of attention. Because they do not have benefits anymore, my aunt and uncle are having to pay these medical bills out of pocket.

With school coming up, I would like to be able to help them out as much as I can.
I am looking to raise only $350
That would cover much needed new clothes, school supplies, and a money to pay for their school lunches. If by some blessing more money is raised, I will be able to help with the medical bills and also start a savings account that they can access any time for school projects or supplies throughout the year.

Please, I just want to make sure that at least for a little while, they don't have to worry about the world around them.
