Starting Over After Medical Emergencies

Hi my name is Kathy and I'm looking to start over after many medical emergencies regarding my mom as well as many tests and trials.

    Within a 4 month period, May thru September, my mom had open heart surgery, 5 fractured vertebres, 5 compounded disk, a broken pelvic, a broken wrist and a massive stroke ( yes I know that's alot especially for one person to bare) and I had to travel back and forth to Alabama from California to care for her because she lives alone since my pop passed away and I had no help from any family members. I had rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder and was on temporary disability during this time as well and only made $600 per month so paying my house payment and bills was out of the question because I was using my money to travel to help my mom. I got behind with my house payment and everything else and was at risk on losing my home but unfortunetly this was unavoidable at the time.

    I then moved to Oklahoma to go help a friend of mine build there church and I was there for 6 weeks when my mom called me to come live with her because she was told she couldn't live alone any longer and needed 24 hour asistance, so I had to leave my car in Oklahoma and I drove my motor home to go take care of her once again. I had no income and couldn't get a job because I couldn't leave my mom and there was no one to help out. I stayed with her for 4 1/2 months and then in October hospice told her she could live alone if she wanted to no matter what the doctor said because she was being uncontrollabe and told me to go, so I left October 7th and I made it about 300 miles when the engine blew up in my motor home and once again I was stranded, but this time in Mississippi.

    God was still watching me because I broke down on the Interstate 20 in Edwards Mississippi and by the grace of God a campsite owner heard about my situation and sent his worker to come get me and tow me to his campsite, they hooked me up to power, sewer and water and said I could stay until I came up with the money to get back to California. I listed the motor home on Craigslist and sold it as is for $1200 and then paid the campground owner for my stay, put all my clothes and things in a Mississippi storage and rented a car to go to California because my daughter and grandkids were losing there home and had no where to go and I was going to get them and take them back to Mississippi because we were offered jobs and a place to live.

   Once I left and finally got back to California, the jobs fell through as well as the place to live (YES I KNOW, A CONTINOUS SAGA OF EVENTS) so now not only was my car stranded in Oklahoma, my clothes and everything I own was starnded in a Mississippi storage (great onsite manager, I must say) and we had no idea what to do. We wound up using all our money at a Motel 6 verses sleeping in a car plus the rental I had was a round trip and now I wasn't going to be able to take it back (Brad at Enterprise was incredible and saved the day, but still all Glory goes to God for making a way) and I returned the car in California :)

    We were running out of money because Motels are not cheap so I decided to place an ad on Craigslist > Family of 5 needs a place to live and once again we were blessed and a nice gentleman called me and rented 4 of the 5 bedrooms he had empty to me, my daughter and my grandkids without any deposit or last months rent and he kept the rent extremely low for 4 bedrooms. But now the owner needs us to move out because he met a nice lady and he wants to move her in with her kids and with us there he has no room to do so. We are extremely happy for him because he found someone, but unfortunetly it once again put us in a bad situation.

    I was unable to get back to pick up my car and I couldn't get my things from Mississippi so I decided to sell my car for $550 to have the money to go get all my clothes and personal belongings from the storage in Mississippi and once I got there it was to much to fit in my car so I gave 1/2 of my storage to the gracious manager because she was very helpful to me when I needed her help (thank you Jackie).

    My daughter has decided to move with family on her dad's side up north for which I am very grateful they have a place to go, but it leaves me with placing this request for help here. I'm asking for help to move back to Oklahoma to reestablish a long overdue life for myself. My mom is doing ok finally, my daughter and grandkids will be ok finally and I'm praying the same for myself. I have no job because of all the events that have taking priority, I also have several medical conditions that keep me from obtaining certain jobs because I have MS, Fibromyalgia as well as an extreme Essential Tremor and to a company I am unfortunetly a hugh liability. I filed for disability last May and I have an attorney but as most know, it's a long drawn out process.

    A friend told me about this wesite because she knows the problems I'm facing and I really do need help. The only place I have to go without help is back to my house but for me that's not an option because I won't do to a family or put them at risk because of my situation, so here I am.

    The money will be used for moving expences from California to Oklahoma, securing a place to live regarding first, last and security deposit, utilities to be turned on plus possible deposits in a new state, and maybe appliances if not provided, food, towels, blankets, dishes, pots and pans etc as I no longer own any of these things (I gave them all to the manager of the storage because I couldn't get them in my car) furniture such as a bed and dresser, a couple months of rent in advance to give myself time to find a job and taxables :)
