Besides her childhood diseases (Neurodevelopmental disorder with epilepsy, spasticity, and brain atrophy (NEDESBA) is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by severely impaired global development apparent soon after birth), my daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal brain cancer in July 2021, at the age of 8. At the time, they gave her 12 to 18 months to live.

Since her diagnosis, Denisa had 2 brain surgeries, 6 weeks of radiotherapy, 12 rounds of chemotherapy, developed epilepsy with frequent seizures (3 of which got her blue-lighted to A&E).

We are looking to go to Germany and have a breakthrough experimental treatment, OV therapy, which could cure her. OV's have shown a lot of promise in treating brain cancers, which are notoriously 'immunologically cold' - this means normal immune responses that fight cancer cells don't work as well on this type of cancer. OV's for brain cancer have recently been approved for use in Germany, showing their promise. We just can't access them in Romania, and while looking for alternative treatment plans for James, we were directed toward a clinic based in Germany that offers pioneering OV therapy for brain cancer.

I need help with the treatment in Germany, including; travel, the initial treatment, scans, and consultations with specialist doctors. Denisa will be having FET-PET-MRI scans (a specialist type of scan) in Munich, and be being treated in Dusseldorf.

Even though she can't talk, Denisa has an enormous will to live and thrive, she is a fighter and we are both begging you to fight with us.
