My 24 year old friend has sadly been diagnosed with stage 3b Classical Hodgkins Lymphoma. He had just moved back to Florida in January, 2018, he was working in fast food and had no health insurance & no primary care doctor when he started getting sick. So he turned to the emergency rooms who at first would say it's just heat stroke or heat exhaustion and send him home. However my son kept getting sicker and sicker so I knew something was wrong and I had to get more persistent. So after 6 visits to the ER at 3 different hospitals and 1 inpatient stay with many tests and procedures he was finally diagnosed. So now we know he needs treatment to get well and without insurance that also became a challenge. Having doctors offices turn us away and refuse to treat him was devestating! He currently is finally receiving treatment, has insurance pending, we are looking into financial assistance through a couple different outlets and trying to get him on disability...all that is going to take time tho! In the meantime he is unable to work and I am not working because I am caring for and advocating for him. So we need some help with our household bills and we already have high bills from the numerous ER visits, tests, prescriptions, and inpatient stays that we have to pay for. Not only is he my son but he's also an amazing dad, a brother, a grandson, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin, a friend AND is loved and needed so much. Please help him out! I can only do so much for him on my own. We also appreciate all positive thoughts, prayers, love and support
