Campaign Story
The mission of every Orthodox Christian Church is to spread the Gospel of Christ to all corners of the earth. St. James Orthodox Christian Church in Napaskiak, Alaska is a member of the Orthodox Diocese of Alaska, a member of the Orthodox Church in America. The All American Council is an event held every four years in which representatives from all Dioceses of our Church convene to discuss the current state of our Church and to plan for the future. Descendants from immigrants along with descendants of the original inhabitants of this land are all represented here. Our Church is asking you for donations for the funds to attend this historic event in St. Louis, Missouri. We are looking to send at least 25 youth and adults. This is an opportunity to broaden the Orthodox worldview of our youth. Living in Rural Alaska, our fundraising events are limited and there is only so much we can raise within our area. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us. We’ve never imagined or dreamed of sending a group to a historic event such as this. With every donation made, your names will be brought to the grave of Blessed Mother Olga of Kwethluk, and commemorated. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. God Bless!
