St. Baldrick’s Foundation For Childhood Cancer

I am trying to raise $2000.00 for the St Baldrick's Foundation this year and things around town have been a bit slow. I have participated in the event in six of the last seven years and I can't tell you how good it feels to help the little ones that need a hand. The idea is this get people to sponsor you and have your head shaved, nothing crazy. Want the backstory? Well here it is. My first niece was born seven years ago and quickly developed a tumor in her right leg. Insurance was not wanting to cooperate and this thing just kept right on growing. Dr. Rapkin from Emory hospital stepped in and pulled a few strings and eventually things were handled and, get this, the bills were magically handled. I personally thanked him and asked what I could do to make it up to him. He simply replied, "Sign up with the St Baldrick's Foundation." How could I not satisfy that request? We will be holding our event at Trackside Tavern in Decatur, GA on March 16th. We will have a raffle as well with many great, and sometimes unusual, prizes.
