About me

I am a fully qualified Light Vehicle mechanic and automotive air conditioning technician.

I have worked for dealerships (Holden, Ford, Toyota, Performax International) my entire Mechanical career until coming to Moranbah where I have worked for Rental companies as a service / maintainance Mechanic.

I reside in Moranbah, QLD Australia.  

Location

Moranbah is a town in Queensland, Australia, located on the Peak Downs Highway between Mackay and Clermont, in the Isaac region. It is a coal mining town and at the 2011 census had a population of 8,626. The town was established in 1969. In addition to the permanent population, Moranbah also has a large itinerant population in excess of 1500.  Moranbah services the Peak Downs Mine, Goonyella Riverside Mine, Broadmeadow Mine, Moranbah North Mine and several other smaller mines in the region.  (Source: Wikipedia)

Moranbah is a rapidly growing town with new mining projects opening and extensions to existing projects being opened and/or developed.

With all this development comes people, and with people..... cars.

Aim of Fundraiser 

Currently there are a multitude of mechanical service/ repair stores in Moranbah catering to both the resources and private sectors. Many of these stores carry stock to cover their needs as well as a small inventory for retail sales. Most of these stores focus primarily on the Resources industries for service/repair work at the expense of the private individual.

There is NO dedicated Automotive Parts and Accessories store within 2 hours of Moranbah and as such all parts and accessories need to be freighted in from Mackay, Emerald or further a field.

This is inconvenient and costly in time.

I propose to open a full time dedicated Automotive Parts and Accessories store in the Moranbah CBD. 

My intention is to carry stock of common service items, hard parts & consumables as well as a range of dressup and performance parts. 

My initial startup requires capital to lease premises, fit out premises, purchase stock and commence an advertising campaign
