Sri LankaOrphanage

My name is Lauren Bebb and i am a 2nd year student in Shrewsbury Shropshire,  in september I will be starting my nursing degree so  in August I will be travelling over to Sri Lanka to volunteer in an orphanage for 2weeks. The orphanage is in Ambalangoda which suffered the effects of the Tsunami in 2004 which took the lives of over 35,000 people. The children have lost both of their parents or have been rescued from abusive families or families who cannot afford too look after them. This is all self funded and I would be very grateful of any donations made to help aid the work that can be done when we get there, I will also taking clothes and essentials for the children so all donations will help to increase the amount I can take over for them. I have picked to do this project to see how other cultures live and to understand how people can survive on so little and still be so positive and happy. This is a cause that people should take their chance to get involved with when they can. I am so grateful to be given the chance to have this experience. And any donation made will be so benefical.
