After a visit to Sri Lanka, I was appalled at the state of the tens of thousands of street dogs. From broken bones, open sores, mange and more, my heart broke at the lack of empathy that these animals receive. My sister and I discussed the need for 'on mass' desexing and in many instances 'euthenisation' (in extreme cases). On our return, I began investigating organisations that are attempting to help this growing problem. There are a couple of organization dedicated to improving the wellbeing of street
dogs through rescue, rehoming and education initiatives whilst
managing population and preventing rabies through island-wide
sterilization and vaccination campaigns. Please help us to raise funds to help put a stop to this attrocity. All monies raised will go directly to these charities. We are also looking to hear from vets that may be interested in volunteering their time and services to travel to Sri Lanka to help in this imporatnt work. Thank you.
