Campaign Story
In August 2016 Becka and I are travelling around 5,400 miles across the world to Sri Lanka with a company called Plan My Gap Year. We will be over there for 2 weeks and during this time we will be taking part in 2 projects. In the mornings we will be working with turtles helping with their conservation as they are endangered. Typical duties include collecting eggs, treating them and releasing babies back into the sea. Then in the afternoons we will be working in local schools with children aged 5 to 14, teaching English and helping with homework. This opportunity we have taken is costing a lot of money but we feel it is definitely worth it to help out those less fortunate than us and help out with an endangered species. Both of us have already paid for our fights and so any donations will now be going towards the programme fees itself for the volunteering we will be doing. Thankyou
