Sri Lanka Volunteering Trip of 2018

During the summer of 2018, I will be flying out to Sri Lanka to take part in a two week volunteering project accompanied by other 16 and 17 year olds, like myself. We will be involved in four different types of volunteering in Ambalangoda, the coastal town situated south of Colombo. This consists of renovating and reviving the local community, teaching English to younger children at a local school, a turtle conservation project and an elephant conservation sanctuary. In addition to volunteering, we will be exploring Sri Lanka during the second week, visiting some of the finest destinations, attributes and best kept secrets it has to offer. This trip will be an influential opportunity for me to develop my skills and knowledge of Sri Lanka.
