Sri Lanka Supplies

As you may know; there are ten of us travelling to Sri Lanka this March (14th) in order to witness Medical facilities and Healthcare Services in another culture, and also to offer our help with a variety of ongoing projects, such as building and community work, teaching in schools and turtle conservation. Working in a hospital in Sri Lanka is a great opportunity to get close up clinical exposure and learn about a health care system in the developing world. We will witness a variety of cases, which may be completely different to the issues patients face in our home country, which offers a fantastic contrast to what we might find in our local hospital! 

We are going as Medical Volunteers so we can gain insight into the vast differences in practice, and are hoping to take some supplies with us, for both the hospitals and the schools, however, we need some help to be able to afford it all.

The hospitals are in need of simple things, such as Sphygmomanometers, Stethoscopes and Blood Glucose Machines, which are readily available here (on amazon, eBay, Argos etc.) but in short supply over there, and so we are asking you to make a quick donation so we can bulk buy some and take them with us!! Ths schools are always in need of basic writing implements, posters, visual aids etc. and so would also love to take some stationery supplies with us too.

Ideally, we would also like to raise a substantial sum, so any excess from purchasing supplies can be given as a donation to the schools and hospitals, and would be gratefully received and appreciated.

Any amount you can offer, no matter how small, will be vital, and will be returned with beaming smiles, huge hugs and regular updates on how we're doing!!
