Sri Lanka has been hit with the worst financial crisis in its history due to political incompetence and corruption. Record levels of inflation have led to shortages of essential medicines, fuel and food, with power blackouts lasting several hours.

UNICEF Sri Lanka states, 70% of households have reduced food consumption and one in two children require emergency assistance. Sri Lanka’s highly rated healthcare system has collapsed due to a massive drugs shortage and has forced hospitals to cancel 50% of operations.

The country is in a humanitarian crisis and action is urgently needed. The funds will be used to buy much-needed drugs to treat children and adults who may die without your help.

The process:

1) We have set a modest target of Euros 10,000 although millions are required

2) Once sufficient funds are raised, we will inform the hospitals.

3) They will place orders directly with a pharmaceutical company or via an authorized agent.

4) Once the order is confirmed, we will receive and pay a pro-forma invoice from the pharmaceutical company.

5) The anaesthesiologist association orders will be dealt with centrally by a local agency because the drugs have to be distributed to all hospitals.

If you would like to know how the money was spent, please leave your email address when you make a donation and we will contact you.

Please give generously.
