Sri Lanka 2014

Hi, and thanks for even considering donating!

I am hoping to volunteer in Sri Lanka this year for around 2 months to help a number of ongoing projects that are run over there. These include:

• Teaching English to the children who have been deprived by the devastating Tsunami in 2004
• Teaching English and bringing joy to the life of the children in the Boy's orphanage 
• Participating in Community and Renovation work in the local area where resources are limited
• Helping out where needed at the up-and-coming turtle conservation project for those turtles who are unfortunately caught up in fishing nets and alike. 

These people don't take life for granted and are happy at the few things they have to comfort them in life. They always show a fighting spirit, sense of community and love towards each other. They are just like us and its only fair that we try to attempt to give them just a little bit of what they deserve and bring joy to their lives. They do not drive fast cars, have branded clothes, or have many of the luxury we have come to expect. All im asking is to give just a little back. We are all equal!
