In an underdeveloped country such as Nepal, Dental/Oral health is often pushed to the corner and neglected when we talk about health and diseases. Majority of the people in Nepal are not aware of the negative effects that a poor dental hygeine can have, and they do not realise the importance of visiting a dentist early. Visiting a dentist and having a good dental/oral hygeine helps us prevent mouth cancer, which is fatal if it is not detected early. Dentists can detect the early signs of mouth cancer or anything abnormal in the mouth, as they are the only ones who look into our mouth thoroughly and examines. With all this being said, it is a shame that about 40% of Nepali people still live in poverty and can't afford the resources/dental care that are already available.  This fundraising is for a small charity project organised, by me, in order to reach out and help those children in Nepal who cannot afford a proper dental care. In May 2014; I will be going to Nepal and there, I will visit Life Vision Academy in Kathmandu that houses and educates 34 underprivileged children. This school is under Children and Youth First (CYF) organisation which is a charitable non-profit organisation that works to provide education for the underprivleged through the support of people. These children cannot afford healthcare resources, but with your small help they will be able to get the treatment and check up to improve their quality of life. All and every penny raised through this fundraising will be used in providing dental check-up and treatment to the children of Life Vision Academy who are in need of help. Besides the visit to a dentist, I will also be providing them with necessary items for day-to-day dental hygeine such as toothbrush and toothpaste. This fund will not be used in anyway for my own personal needs and will solely be used for the children. Please provide your support and help to these underprivleged children who cannot afford for their good health like we can.
