The dream of Gregory to participate in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games

Je sollicite l'aide de GoGetFunding pour aider mon fils, Gregory Evan ERNEST, qui est actuellement en France pour poursuivre ses etudes universitaire et aussi s'entrainer en parallel dans le Triathlon afin de realiser son réve de sportif, lui qui est passioner pour le Triathlon et le Sport en general, de pouvoir acceder au jeux olympiques de Tokyo 2020. Le but de ma démarches est aussi de pouvoir l'aider a subvenir à des dépenses additionnel pour ses études en Premiere Année de STAPS à L'Université de Paris Est Créteil en France.

Gregory est un Triathlète de Haut niveau licencier à la Federation Mauricienne de Triathlon, à la Federation Francaise De Triathlon et aussi à Union Internationale de Triathlon de Lausane.

Il a commencé a pratiquer le sport depuis l'age ou il a pu se mettre sur ses deux pieds et commencer à courrir. A l'age de 6 ans il faisais déjà parti d’un club de natation et pratiquait la course à pied à l’école et dans ses moments libre.

Il débute le Triathlon en 2013 à l’âge de 15 ans.Dans la même année, il décroche une qualification aux Championnat d’Afrique de 2013 au Maroc ou il pris la 3eme place du podium.

L’année 2013 à 2017 fut aussi remplie pour lui avec les qualificatif des jeux Olympiques des Jeunes au Gaborone, les championnats d’Afrique 2014, 2015 et 2016 en Égypt et Sud Afrique et aussi remporter le médaille d’argent aux championnats d’Afrique en Elite et U23 en mai 2017 au Maroc.

L’année 2018 fut la meilleur pour lui ou il décroche la plus haute marche du podium pour sa participation aux championnats D’Afrique le 21 avril 2018 au niveau Espoir ainsi que la deuxieme place au niveau Elite. Comme le nouveau Champion D'afriique pour l'année 2018 , il deccroche aussi sa qualification pour le championat du monde qui aura lieu en septembre 2018 à Gold Coast en Australie,

Son objectif est de faire beaucoup mieux et de s’améliorer pour le championnat du monde en septembre 2018 en Australie et aussi aux prochaines Coupe du monde en septembre, s'il obtient des financements pour y acceder, afin de marquer de points et me qualifier pour les jeux olympiques de Tokyo 2020.

I am seeking the help of GoGetFunding to help my son, Gregory Evan ERNEST, who is currently in France to pursue his university studies and also to continue training in the Triathlon in order to attain his long and passionate sporting dream, for Triathlon and the Sport in general, which is to accede to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The purpose of my project is also to help him in the financing of additional expenses for his studies at the University of Paris at Creteil (UPEC) in France. His application for a first year entry for a Degree in Sports Science (STAPS) was approved by the Creteil University in May 2018 and he is completing all administrative details with the French Education Authority so as to have all legal papers/student cards to be able to pursue his studies and his so long passionate Olympian dream.

Gregory is a high level Mauritian Triathlete affiliated with the Mauritius Triathlon Federation , the French Triathlon Federation and also forms part of the World Triathlon Development Team under the International Triathlon Union of Lausanne.

He started practicing sport since childhood. At the age of 6 he already forms part of a swimming club and practicing athletics/running at school and during his free times.

He began the Triathlon in 2013 at the age of 15 years. In the same year, he won a qualification in the 2013 African Championship in Morocco where he won the 3rd place. The year 2013 to 2017 was also successfull for him with his qualification for the Olympic Youth Games in Gaborone, the African Championships of 2014, 2015 and 2016 in Egypt and South Africa and also winning the silver medal at the African Triathlon Championships in the U23 Category in May 2017 in Morocco.

The year 2018 was the best for him where he won the highest place of the podium for his participation in the African Triathlon Championships on April 21, 2018 under the U23 as well as 2^nd place at the Elite level during the same race in Morocco, Rabat. As the new African Champion for the year 2018, he was qualified for the World Triathlon Championship which will take place in September 2018 in Gold Coast, Australia.

His objective now is to perform much better and improve for the World Championship in September 2018 in Australia and also in the next World Cup in September in Mexico. In order to fulfill this, he needs to get sufficient funding (Air travel and all its associated cost) to attend these events, with the main objective to score points for the current year and in the two coming years and qualify for the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020.
