Sponsorship for Charity Movie: Bumblebee

Greetings from the Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Our club is organizing

a Charity Movie Premiere for the sponsorship of kids from homes as well as to raise fund

for our upcoming Community Service Projects. We plan to take at least 150 kids from

homes to watch the movie premiere of Bumblebee on 29th December, 2018. We are

seeking your kind support and donation in term of sponsorship for this movie premiere

in the festive spirit of Christmas and New Year. The sponsorship details are as enclosed

and we seek your kind heart to help us to Make a Difference in our community and society.

Our goal is to raise RM40,000.00 and all fund raised through this Charity Movie

Premiere will be used for our club community service projects throughout 2019. One of

our significant club projects is the Little Library Project which aims to place wooden

cabinet filled with books for children to read for free. We first launched our project in

community of Sungai Lembing, Kuantan last year where we had placed six Little Library

under the care of the residents of Sungai Lembing. After a year of endless effort from our

club numbers, service partners as well as generous sponsors, the Little Library project

had reached out to the seventh location as of this week in Machap Umboo, Melaka. For

2019, we hope to extend this project to another 10 areas with the addition of a mobile

library to continue our aim to uplift the reading habit of children.

Book Bank project is a success this year as we continuously received book donation

from the book publishers as well as general public and this enable us to provide sufficient

books supply for our little library project. Other than supplying books for our little library

project, we have also donated some of the books to schools in need. In 2019, we are

looking at continuing the Book Bank project and provide more books for the needy.

In 2019, we will also host the Rotary Global Mandarin Development Conference

whereby the club aims to gather more than 1,000 delegates from around the world to

promote the development of Rotary in Mandarin. It is also our utmost pleasure that the

Little Library project will de adopted by the Rotary Global Mandarin Development

Conference as one of their official community service project and Little Library project

will sooner meet the world and benefit more in 2019!
