Sponsored Swim for Tanzania

Our (Luca and George) aim is to swim across Lac leman (5km) on the 17th of June, to raise funds for DARE -The Dare Women's Foundation and Watu Secondary School.

We are aiming to raise CHF 1,500+ so any donation would be really appreciated!

The International School of Geneva, La Chataigneraie 2018 Tanzania Trip takes place in June/July. The Tanzania Team consists of 15 Year 11 students (ages 15-16) from Ecolint's La Chataigneraie campus. We will be visiting the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania to work with:
(1) Students at WATU Secondary School in Moshi (an NGO which was founded in 2006 by Josiah Mchome, a local teacher and educational administrator, and Richard and Katherine Heery, teachers at ISG)
(2) Women at DARE in Arusha (an NGO founded by Maggie Duncan-Simbeye, a local safari guide).

All of the raised funds will go to:

DARE (http://www.darewomensfoundation.org/) This grassroots NGO based in Tanzania, works directly with local communities to empower women and children through formal and informal education, conservation, and various support groups. During our trip we will be volunteering with the NGO.

WATU School is a small NGO based in Northern Tanzania (http://www.watusecondaryschool.com/) whose mission to offer able young people from financially disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to realise their academic potential.
