Sponsor a Last Chance Rescue or Adoption!

The money raised through this fundraiser will be used to sponsor pledges to rescues to get high risk dogs out of kill shelters in south Louisiana and also help the organization saving them.  We also try to sponsor at least one adoption at a time for dogs in kill shelters in South Louisiana that have been long time residents and are not getting the attention they deserve.

Paying for an adoption does not pay for food or medical expenses or anything else it costs to care for a dog, but it may help that one dog get more attention or help a person take a leap that they weren't willing to take before. Once a family or person loves a dog, they find ways to pay for the rest, although that may not be something they realize when they don't have that pet. Nonetheless, what we do is try to give dogs that would otherwise die, a CHANCE.

Dawg - Dawg was the first dog to be sponsored by sponsor a chance.  He was a long time resident in a kill shelter and had been code red many times and spared at the last minute due to room being made in the shelter.  When we received our first donation we decided that after seeing this guy wait for a home for so long, that we would give him something to get him noticed, so we sponsored his adoption.  With his adoption fee paid for we waited and waited and no one stepped up.  One day the PTS list for the shelter came up and he had a day left to live.  That's when we started to rally.  We networked him everywhere and received more donations to save him, a total of $150 to pledge to a rescue.  At the last minute an adopter came to his rescue and brought him home.  The person who donated the extra money towards his rescue asked that it be donated to his owners as food for the next month.  Dawg was our first sponsor and although we knew that it wouldn't always have a happy ending, in his case it did.
