Who we are and what we do

Spiritual Emergence Service is a non-denominational, non-profit charitable society offering support to people who are experiencing spiritual and transformational crisis. We offer an international crisis phone line and e-mail service as well as regular Meetup gatherings on spiritual emergence in the Vancouver BC area. We are the only spiritual emergence organization in the world that offers free telephone support. We are a small group of volunteers dedicated to helping others in crisis.

What is spiritual emergence?

The term Spiritual Emergence has been used to refer to the awakening of the spiritual potential within an individual that initiates the unfolding and expansion of that individual’s way of being. It is a natural process of growth toward a deeper, more connected and expanded way of being that usually occurs slowly throughout our lives and is gently integrated. When this process occurs rapidly or becomes very intense it can seem disruptive and out of context with everyday life, precipitating a personal crisis which is referred to as a Spiritual Emergency.

The Spiritual Emergence Service believes that it is essential that the support of spiritual emergence is open, compassionate and holistic, that is, supporting the whole person – body, mind and spirit. We are dedicated to supporting individuals through this challenging journey of growth.

Where does funding go

All the money raised goes directly to the cause: the costs of maintaining a website with an e-mail support service, and operating a phone line that receives calls from all around the world along with general business costs.
