Spirit Horse Centre

PURPOSE: This is an organization aimed at bringing high risk youth and rescue horses together in an environment of learning, cultural awareness and teamwork.  These young people will each be partnered with a horse to create a bond and promote healing in the most magical way, through connection to another living being and by being out on the land helping to develop their sense of self once again.    

WHY A FUNDRAISER?:   The money that is being raised right now is going to be used to rehabilitate a small herd of horses that have been adopted for the centre.  There is 13 horses in total 6 mares, 2 colts, 4 weanlings, and a stallion.  They need to be moved this month to their new home on the land and the funds will go towards vet care, nutrution, any maintenance and repairs to their new and majestic living environment and getting them ready to meet their kids in the spring of 2015.  

WHY SHOULD YOU GET INVOLVED? You should get involved to become an active member of a healing community that will help many youth and horses alike.  These are horses that would have otherwise have had little future (depending on their age and sex,) but since will be living out their lives with comfort, tranquility and most importantly by fulfilling a purpose.  They will become a part of an Equine Assisted Healing and Mental Health Program.  As part of this fundraiser, select donors (the top 13 contributors over a certain amount) will become a part of horse-sponsorship team.  This will entitle you to "sponsor" a horse and provide a name for that horse.  All additional donors will recieve updates and photos of how these horses are doing, what they are working on and any memorable moments.
