Have you heard of Spinal Stenosis? If the answer is no, then this is not surprising as most people have never heard of it until they are diagnosed! Spinal Stenosis is a disease that narrows the canal surrounding the spinal column, and this in turn causes its own problems with mobility, bowel and bladder function, and day-to-day-life. It had been reported that this disease was common among the elderly, but now this appears not to be true, as there are more people between the ages of 20 and 50 being diagnosed. The causes of this disease range from a herniated disc to an underlying problem such as Osteoarthritis, and at the moment there is no cure.

Spinal Stenosis UK was founded by one sufferer and initially just an website as there was a lack of information around for people who had been diagnosed. Since then, with the help of social media, it has grown into online help and support. Now it's time for the next stage, it's time for Spinal Stenosis UK to grow so that it can help more sufferers.

With your help, Spinal Stenosis UK can go from strength to strength. Our main aim is to find a cure, to gain charity status, to offer help and support across the country, and to be able to reassure sufferers that they have not been forgotten. With your help we can make a difference and maybe one day you will need us to help you!
