Campaign Story
Approximately 1.9% of the U.S. population, or some5,596,000 people, report some form of paralysis, among whom, some 1,275,000 are paralyzed as the result of a spinal-cord injury. The mission of the RIRC is to find new treatments for spinal cord injury through the collaborative research and educational efforts of prominent scientists and clinicians both at the University of California, Irvine and around the world.
