Campaign Story
As a person who has barely traveled anywhere outside of Upstate New York (with the exception of a handful of trips to the south), I have always been curious about other cultures. I have spent a good majority of my college career looking into different study abroad programs that I could part-take in. My college, Rochester Institute of Technology, offers so many programs it's impossible to count. However, my major (Diagnostic Medical Sonography) is extremely rigorous and makes it nearly impossible to study abroad semesters at a time. After many nights of searching for a program that I could make possible, I finally found the summer program at the Danish Institute of Study Abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. There are so many reasons as to why I completely fell in love with Copenhagen: the gorgeous waterfront in Nyhavn (Google it if you haven't seen it. Gorgeous!) and the fact that Denmark has been ranked the happiest country in the world numerous times. I already feel as though I belong there and I haven't even gone yet.
Your support helps make this entire trip possible, as I will not be receiving any help from school and will be paying for the program completely on my own through working full time both during my summer and school year. My 1,500 dollar goal is mostly to help with airfare. I will be raising most of my tuition and other expenses on my own. Thank you!
