Spencer’s College Fund

I'm starting this fundraiser for my son Spencer. Spencer is a very bright young man. He graduated from high school with honors, and he received early admission into UNC Wilmington in NC. Only the top 10% of incoming freshman are accepted as early admissions at the school. After only 2 months, Spencer had to withdraw due to health problems, which was a devastating setback. It wasn't until some months later that he was diagnosed as having bipolar disorder. He went into treatment, which was long and arduous until the proper combinations of medications were found for him. During his treatment, he tried going back to school at a community college only to have to withdraw again. Today I am very happy to say that Spencer is doing wonderfully and ready to get on with his life. He only has one major problem. He lost his financial aid because of the classes from which he was forced to withdraw. He has to pay for 7 classes before his financial aid is reinstated. I am a widow on Social Security and can't be of much assistance to him. He was able to borrow money for 3 of the classes this semester. That money has to be paid back, which he is having a problem doing. He doesn't make much money working part time and he has to pay for his medication because he doesn't have health insurance. He so wants to be a web/software developer. I would hate for him to lose his dream because he couldn't afford to pay for his schooling. Being diagnosed with a disorder at 18 years old that will follow him the rest of his life was extremely hard for him to accept. Spencer has shown great strength and perseverance to get back to where he is suppose to be in life. Please help him attain this goal so his future can be bright and rewarding!
