The Dueñas Central Elementary School (DCES), where I also finished my elementary, has just opened its Special Education Center through the efforts of its SpEd teacher, Alvin John Sablon, a former student and teacher intern at West Visayas State University. It caters children with special needs (CSN) - with autism, with mental retardation, with learning disabilities, among others - who are residing in and around Dueñas. Since this has just started this school year, it still lacks facilities and instructional and learning materials that would help sir Alvin and the DCES community realize their vision for the Sped Center and especially and most importantly for their CSN pupils. Currently, Alvin uses modified and improvised materials in order to train and conduct classes. Several persons have also already pledged to help and provide in order for the SpEd Center to continue. However, the pledges and support are not yet enough for the center to operate as it is supposed to. Right now Sir Alvin, the center, and the students still needs more support and help, either through the finances or donations of SpEd instructional materials.

If you are willing to do so, you may contact directly Mr. Alvin John Sablon through the following:

Thank you in advance for your help!
