Your Donation Goes The Extra Mile! Sow A Seed! The More You Give The More You receive!
Isaiah 6:8 says, then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
My name is Marvin Rodgers a resident of Mt Bentinck, Georgetown, St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). I am a member of Bethel Gospel Assembly; a Good News Bible Club teacher; and a team member of Wycliffe Bible Translators SVG. I have answered the call in Isaiah 6:8.
In the summer of 2018, I attended the Wycliffe Youth Network (WYNet) cross-cultural camp in Jamaica with the expectation of just mingling with the other campers and enjoying the time. Little did I know that God sent me to a pre-mission training camp. From there He reveals to me through the two in house missionaries that He will take me away from work, family, and church to do missions. Since then I have been released from my job in November 2018 and was awaiting release from family and church.
Following that, in the summer of this year, I thought I was going to be released from family and church to return to Jamaica for WYNet camp 2019 but the journey was futile. Through this ordeal, I realize this timing wasn’t His timing for me to return to Jamaica. Thereafter, He sent several persons to confirm that I will indeed return to Jamaica but I paid no attention to the confirmations and kept saying I will go in 2020 for the WYNet camp.
Now you’re wondering what will I be doing in Jamaica. I will be on a short-term specialty service with the team at the office of Wycliffe Bible Translators Jamaica (Wycliffe Caribbean Headquarters) from November 2019 to November 2020. The purpose of this trip is twofold: to gain hands-on training to aid with the functioning of the SVG office, and to continue my missionary training.
We at Wycliffe Bible Translators SVG are excited about the opportunity and experience that lies ahead and hope you see the value in the work that will be accomplished. As you can imagine, funding for a trip like this requires financial support from many people. Of which $1,000 USD monthly is needed for living expenses (food and accommodation) and $800 USD will be used for return airfare. With your monetary donations, the cost of living and airfare will be offset.
What I need from you is to sow a seed in this trip whether a one time seed or multiple seeds. Join my support team today and get me to Jamaica for 25th November 2019.
Thank you in advance for your support. Looking forward to your donation. Remember your donation goes the extra mile by sowing a seed.
