We need funding for Jedd. He is a 15 year old Down syndrome young man, who also has Autism, Celiac Disease (Auto Immune Disease) and all round just isn't well.

Jo, (mom), is a divorce who raises three beautiful children, Jess who is the youngest, Kiara being the oldest (17) and Cyan (16). The girls are a great help.

Jedd has been at home for two years now, cannot go to school due health issues compounding all the time. He has had over 30 operations, 12 polygamy transfusions and numerous hospital stays.

Although, there is medical aid, the medical aid doesn't cover everything.

What isn't covered by the medical aid, is anything above the R14000 threshold or savings. Medical Aid don't cover everything, as people may know.

Currently we have medical bills in the region of R20000.00 then comes the day to day medical things still in the future, also Jedd cant eat or touch or come into contact with anything related or containing gluten or dairy, as it causes his body to attack its own immune system.

This puts a large strain on the family as they cant eat normally, even the meat needs to be ordered directly from a farm and not just any farm but one that separates their meats from their marinating and spicing sections.

The only food they can eat is fresh fruit and vegetables, daily, which costs more than the packaged foods. Also, Jo, has to wash every single thing before it gets into her home to avoid cross contamination.

Ok, so that's the medical, we need help with that.

But just imagine, being Jedd... imagine for a moment, that your normal life, that you don't completely understand anyway, has now turned completely around and any changes to an autistic child's life is hectic for them to say the least. Routine Routine Routine… that is all that keeps this boy in check.

So, imagine now being Jo... first of all, you have a boy who is going through puberty, doesn't understand why there are changes, then he cant eat even an ice-cream or even have pasta... Jo, has no social life, she cannot leave him alone for too long... in fact at all.. She steals moments to do what she needs to do... has little sleep and loves the boy unconditionally, but watches him suffer and cant do anything about it.

Ok, so imagine you are ready this and you see that there is away to help Jedd and to help Jo... and to give the family some relief..what would you do for them.

One of Jo's and Jedds dream, is to have a cruiser bike...yes a motorcycle... Jo does have her licence and Jedd just loves being on the back of a bike... but not with just anyone.. unfortunately, he isn't too trusting of strangers. He has been riding for years with a friend of the family but unfortunately moved away.

Jo doesn't get out, and neither does Jedd... so the girls get to babysit quite often so that Jo can just do the necessities like shopping etc.. but they also have exams and cant be alone with him for too long.. he loves him mom and feels safe with her.

We appeal to you, please donate for this good cause. We haven't put an end date for this because it is an ongoing issue.

Thank you from Jo and Jedd
