Spearfishing Nationals in May

I got invited and encouraged to participate in the national spearfishing championships in Durban in May. I immediately decided to offer, due to the high costs of travel, boat fuel, gear I would need, etc.

I recently won a prestigious regional comp, probably the most prestigious single event in the Western Cape, the Huegenote Open. A longstanding event that happens annually in Struisbaai. There are legendary names on that trophy, such as Springbok spearos, Charlie Myburg and James-Lawson Smith, who are the reason for my success in spearfishing today. I dived with them in my formative years and learned a lot from them.

It would be an absolute dream come true to compete in Natal and represent the Boland, but I would not be able to do it without your generosity and goodwill!

Any overflow funds will go toward the rest of the Boland team. There are lots of costs involved for us all to get there safely with a boat that's in good shape.
