A LITTLE ABOUT ME

 

Since childhood I have loved animals and birds, and have been involved in their rescue and adopting them since years. All this years and with all the love I got from them, my love for them has increased day by day. Before few months, I became vegan for them, for rest of my life.

 

One of them was very close to my heart, so much so that I would have been happy to exchange my life for its happiness. All these years during studies, I was dreaming that I would spend a significant part of my income for them, but recently I’ve started working and realised that no matter how much I earn, I cannot depend on that for all that I want to do for all these wonderful people..  my dogs, animals and birds.

 

Its not just about feeding them, I want to heal them, share love and care for them.. want to start a shelter home and free rescue service for them, and a lot lot more.  

 

ABOUT THE PROJECT

 

I am 25 year old, from Ahmedabad, India. Atleast since last 15 years we have been daily feeding birds and stray dogs. Although the number has increased over these years, with as much as about 34 dogs at present which includes 15 puppies and 6 senior dogs.

 

We have been spending well beyond our means for their food, medical attention whenever they need it and makeshift shelter during winter and monsoon.  

 

I wish your help, and me and all these dogs and birds and animals will be really grateful to you for your help to continue feeding them and also to meet their needs of care and shelter.

 

Currently there are about 34 dogs, birds whom we feed regularly and monkeys very often visit us. We are already spending well beyond our means to feed them and to take care of them. I need your help to continue feeding them properly and to meet their needs, I love them sooo much.  

 

WHAT WE NEED

 

We are already feeding these 34 street dogs but we need funds to feed them properly on daily basis, and to meet the needs of 6 senior dogs and 15 puppies. We also feed to birds regularly and also to monkeys and other animals in need.

 

Besides, the expenses include bills for medical care, transport and making makeshift shelter for them, during winters and monsoon.

• All the funds raised here will go to meet the needs of these animals, birds and any other animal / birds in need. Any amount of funding received here will not reduce the amount spend by us for them.
• We believe about 2700 USD (i.e. to say about 7.40 USD per day for all dogs, or 77 USD for one dog for a year) will allow us to feed these dogs and birds properly for a year.
• Any surplus will be used to feed dogs or animals in nearby areas and also for their shelter / medical attention.

 

THE IMPACT

 

Your contribution will help us to feed these animals and birds and will help us make life simple for them. Your contribution will ensure they do not go sleep hungry and will not have to beg and go after people for food. This will also ensure proper medical attention and shelter for them.

 

It has been my dream since childhood to start a shelter home for animals in need where they are properly cared, and disabled animals and birds can stay there for rest of their life.

 

Although it will take time to materialise, any funds, if any, left after doing all that we can do for all the animals around us, will be retained to start a shelter home for disabled animals and providing free medical care to animals and birds in need (either as an NGO - non-profit organisation or in partnership with other NGO). First priority will always be to feed animals and birds.

 

We assure you, every amount that we receive here will be used only and only for the purpose of animal welfare and no amount will be diverted in any manner whatsoever. It’s a promise!
