Campaign Story
Gift donations on this campaign benefit the young ladies of Girl Scout Troop #1980 to print their motivational quote book Sparks from Fireflies created for the children served by SafePath Children's Advocacy Center of Cobb County, Georgia. (SafePath.org). SafePath’s mission is to reduce the trauma to children and their families by offering a comprehensive, professional, and child-friendly approach to the allegations of child abuse.
This young group of Girl Scouts identified the children served by SafePath.org and developed a journal book that provides motivation during dark times and is interactive so the reader can respond to quotes, make their own drawings, fill in coloring pages and even write their feelings. All of these activities are therapeutic to a child going through an abuse investigation.
All donations 100% go to pay for copies of the finished book to be given to the children served by SafePath.org for free. Approximately 1,000 children are served by the advocacy group each year, the Girl Scout Troop wants every child/teen to have a copy as a "night light for the darkest nights".

This is such a great cause. It was truly inspiring to visit the Safe Path offices and see and hear the great work they do. Thank you so much for helping the girls put this book together.
