Spark Hope for Sam

Since 1983, Sam has gone through a gamut (a total of 10 operations) of illnesses, confinements, therapy, treatments from Crohn's disease, operations to remove appendix, gall bladder, oavries, lymph node to tuberculosis, dialysis treatment and to top it all, She's a kidney transplantee for 15 years!

Last Nov 2019, Crohn’s flared up again, and she's now undergoing biologic treatment, a chemo-like infusion, so it comes down with its side effects. Her recent bouts with this particular illness resulted to the numbness of her left face, arm and hand. She started with empiric TB medication since result from her cranial MRI showed multiple lesions (more infections than tumors, thankfully).

The latest seizure attack happened several days ago and she was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. And so far, latest MRI showed that the recently-found lesions were much smaller now but newer lesions were found to have surfaced. At this point, it is of utmost importance that the type/degree of infection/s is/are determined so that immediate mitigation and medical interventions may be started so it won't be necrotic to my transplanted kidney.

She underwent a brain biopsy last Wednesday, 17 February 2021 at 10:00 AM - a procedure that used Brainlab technology, a frameless navigated system which is a less-invasive image guided surgery aimed at getting a sample of the actual infection.

All these are overwhelming to her but her resolve to declare who God is in her life over these circumstances has been unwavering. We are seeking your hearts to continue sparking hope for this fighter of a lady and we can't wait to hear her sing songs of joy and praise again.
