Support for Bali Breizh Divers, its employees for purchase of food and our subsistence

In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, countries did not manage the crisis in the same way. While some have financial aid from their countries, medical care and a service to help the most disadvantaged, others are not so fortunate. In Indonesia, the population does not have an emergency aid plan, unemployment insurance or an incentive programme for small businesses. There is no financial, medical or food aid for the population or businesses.

Since March 2020, we have had to close our dive center Bali Breizh Divers, due to the cessation of all tourist activities and travel restrictions imposed by the Indonesian President and the Governor of Bali.

Our dive center had just celebrated its 10th anniversary in February, having survived the volcanic eruptions of 2017, the earthquake of 2018 and the slow economic recovery of 2019. For 2020, we need to launch an emergency plan to deal with this unprecedented crisis, the outcome and end of which no one knows. Our resources are now at their lowest ebb and we need international support to sustain our team of 13 employees and their families to enable them to buy food and pay their rent and keep our dive centre afloat over the coming months.

We are appealing for donations to enable us to survive until the recovery, as it will still take some time for the economic and tourist climate to return to its former pace, and for divers to return to Bali.

We are aware that our request is not the most dramatic in the current context. So if you are in a position to make a donation, share our request, help spread the word, now, more than ever, we need your support.
