South Asia Missions

Hello everyone!

I have recently felt a call on my heart for overseas missions, and God has provided the opportunity to go to South Asia in October through the IBSA (Illinois Baptist State Association)

The team will work alongside missionaries assisting with discipleship/leadership development of their national partners. The team will also travel with the national partners into their areas of ministry (villages, inner city, day centers, and slums) engaging their people group assisting with special projects to build their credibility for entry for ministry in those areas.

My vision for wanting to go on mission overseas, is that I desire to expand my knowledge of who God is and his glory in another culture. I feel as though I live in this white american bubble, and i want to break through that and begin to be able to relate to people who are different from me. I want to have a broader and more knowledgeable perspective of the world around me, and a renewed vision for sharing the gospel. The goal is that I would come home changed, and with a new heart for people who are living in hell on Earth and their only hope of escape is through Jesus Christ.

Please prayerfully consider partnering with me in empowering and encouraging these national missionaries to stay strong in the faith and to equip them to reach the inner most parts of this country that so desperately need the gospel.
