I have completed my honors in Clinical Counselling Psychology and have been selected for two amazing work programs abroad.
The first is in Scotland working at Queen Margret University in the Observation and Research Faculty. This focuses on advancing research on various mental illnesses to find a cure, or better treatment options as well as learning more about the illness itself. This program is 6 weeks.
The second is in Bali, where I will work in the Psychiatric hospitals with older patients and in child development, teaching children how to read and write English. This is a 4 week program and involves a lot more community work.
The reason I would like to work abroad is not only to travel but to study the worlds diversity and learn more cultures. Having grown up in South Africa I have enjoyed studying the various cultures here and would love an opportunity to expand my knowledge on an International level. Unfortunately not much of the programs are paid for, therefore I would greatly appreciate any contribution you make for my cause.
