Indian Sound Library Creation & Gear acquirements

Hi my name is Rahul. I am a Sound Engineer mainly working as Sound Designer/Editor/Recordist. I have worked in numerous Indian Feature Films and Advertisements and Shorts. I am doing this crowdfunding program for the first time in order to help me with my career and for helping out with multiple dream projects that are not only useful personally, but for anybody in the same field as me. So far, I have captured general ambiences and some everyday vehicles for the films I have worked on. But these engagements have not produced enough material that I could put out as a library as I am intending to do now.

The majority of my career has been as a recordist, but now I have gradually transitioned to sfx editing and designing - hence I am hyped and passionate about this project. I've been sad to see there's no such libraries or recordings of this scale out there that feature the sounds of India. Hence this campaign.

I believe this will be the first comprehensive professionally recorded sound effects/ambisonic library of INDIA. I would be recording locations throughout this country with its unique soundscapes and festivals and art forms. This will be the first independent library available to the public recorded at 192kHz/24bit, 48/24, and if possible trying out the new 32bit float version as well.

The equipments planned to acquire

For the Ambience: Rode NTSF1 or Sennheiser Ambeo / MKH 8020 Stereo pair

For Vehicles & Other Essential Gears : Sound Devices MIX PRE 10 2nd Gen / Zoom h6 for handheld and discreet recordings / 2x Sennheiser G4 with Plugon TX / MKH 416 / NTG5 / Mounts like the dinkum or other models / tripod for mics / COS 11D /DPA 6060s / DPA 4060 / PZMs / mkh8060 / Blimps+boompole sets

Equip Currently have and working with: Zoom h6/ f8 / MKh416 / ntg3 / audio technica bp4029 / sennheiser g3 with me2 mic

(Some of the equips may change like good selections for high spl recordings so I'll be trying out different mic that i could get my hands on, but overall these listed are the standard)

This Crowdfunding Campaign is for me to purchase these Professional Sound Recording Gears and other necessary items for this project where i could also start a website also or share through other vendors to sell those products

What i can contribute/Reward for those who could help me with sufficient amount, i will give a copy of what i will be recording or if the donor is interested in something specific recordings from my part of the country, will help with that also with the equipment that i will be buying.

:The sounds of India

So far i never seen a proper sound recording available online anywhere on landscape ambiences,cities,villages,crowd(Wallas) of different languages,Specific sounds which are native to that individual places in India,Festivals,Art forms,From rural to urban areas.India is a big country with unimaginable sounds and i want to capture that like its done with videos or a photos

:Vintage vehicles recordings

Vehicle that are unique to India, which are not seen or available in most countries.From everyday Indian Cars to Vintage collections.

:Setting up a online store or through other vendors on Different categories of sound effects and designs

:Also planning To Upload Videos,VR projects,blogs and tutorials on YouTube or other online streaming sites and also most importantly uploading Ambisonic sounds which we all see and hear (with headphone) online to hear the world around us and to help with relaxation or ASMR.

:Capture and Share the exotic and maybe even rare soundscapes and that may not be heard anymore in the near future due to human exploitation and other changes in the environment.

:Sharing the Knowledge and the collection with Sound Designers from around the world.

And more...... Its limitless what i can achieve...with all your support.

This campaign not only helps me with purchasing gears but also helps my small crew to help them with their own projects indie films and so on.

The amount given here which converted from USD to INR is the approximate to needed to purchase all the gears i have been planned, will the give list of equips for those who are interested.

The fund is truly dedicated towards the goal of creating that are of use for future generations or to inspire others.Even people with hearing impairments recognize the importance of sound vibration. Sound carries frequencies. Words, music, or the hum of an air conditioner all communicate messages to the human energy system.We are blessed to have the ability to see and hear which we take for granted.Capturing those sounds,The sounds which we hear or don't listen due to our hectic and different lifestyles Sound from the simplest to extraordinary ones we seldom recognize. And in my belief there's no other country so diverse and unique which i doubt one could capture everything with one lifetime.That's why this project will be the start to capture everything that INDIA has to offer.
