I have been in the Art and Craft industry since I was old enough to glue papers together. Not only did creating help to get me through some serious hard times as a child, but as an adult, it also helped to be my sole source of income. While at times I have more slow and no sale days, creating and designing things, trying new things, and helping others to find their inner artist has been the biggest and most amazing reward ever.

In our world today, we not only need more music and humanity, but we also need to save our Arts, and ensure that we do our best to get access and outlets for all men, women, and children to the materials and spaces for them to create and showcase their talents and creations. In my area alone, I see such a dire need for an artisan center, where children especially can come and safely create and spend time trying and learning and enriching their creative sides. Art and crafts have become such a powerful tool to help entertain, express, and work through problems and feelings that so many of us face. Art, in many ways, is food and medicine for the soul and mind.

"Soul Art" would be a safe and fully stocked art and crafts center, where people of all ages and cultures can come to use materials and resources to take free art classes, get help and inspiration, design and create to their hearts content, while also have access to a showroom where they can offer their creations for sale. There is nothing more fulfilling and life changing than having someone invest into your designs and art. Not only can this change lives, inspire, encourage creativity, design and growth, but it can also help bring in much needed incomes for the masses who struggle to get by from one day to the next.

Seeing a need for a safe and organized center, that will offer materials, lessons and resources, as well as a gallery to showcase works, will not only help local artists trying to find a place to work, but a place for kids of all ages to come and safely create, socialize, and learn how amazing and enriching art can be. This is so important, and with our current white house administration targeting art programs, there has never been a bigger need to save and support our art centers and programs. In addition to raising the money to finding the perfect center to house this amazing and life changing center, we also need the capital for high quality art and craft materials, utilities, etc. It is my hope to run the center through gifts and donations, and a recycling area where peope can come bring materials and items they no longer need. All of which not only help the enviroment but can be used in creations and art pieces for artists of all skill levels.
