Dear friends,
Thank you all so much for your support with the first expedition to Cieszanów. We brought over 15K of highly specialised goods.
I am now raising funds and supplies for my second expedition for SOS Ukraine.
I am utterly inspired by Victor and his wife Alessandra. Even more so by the horrors we've read about in recent days.
The word I heard from several NGO's and volunteer organisations on the border is that "the supply chain" is broken.
I think we have to fight against the normalisation of war - and the danger of becoming numb to it.
I have seen pictures of our goods from all over Ukraine - with soldiers, medics and civilians. Victors operation is the type that is both rare and needs support.
I hope that this expedition can keep us all involved, keep us all playing our own part.
As such I am calling for two things:
1) For people to send supplies directly to my house for transport. They can be found here: www.jimkroft.com
2) Secondly, for a minimum 5K with which we can buy vital medical goods, children's items and basics like food for civilians. This will be ordered and collected - like last time - in Poland. In my heart I hope we can raise significantly more than 5K.
I will set off at the latest early May - transport the specialised goods personally, and oversee collection in Poland with Tomasz, my friend and a local business leader.

MOSQUITO SPRAY

One of my hopes after the first expedition was to find a source for more specialised medicine. I'm glad to report that a new relationship with a local medic has proved dividends. Today several boxes of antibiotics arrived and will be transported shortly. Thank you again everyone for your contributions
20,000 WATER PURIFICATION TABLETS

Our next collection was an order of 20,000 water purification tablets - enough to purify 20,000 litres of water. It is enough for a small town if infrastructure is destroyed, cut off or God forbid, there is a chemical attack. Tomasz Abram sourced the pills locally and found the best. . . . .
STRETCHERS FOR POPASNA

9K OF GOODS DELIVERED FROM BERIN!

Dear all, I'm very happy to report that the 9K of goods send to me via small donors has been delivered to SOS Ukraine in Rzeszow! The items are already being prepared for distribution including 133 Tourniquets, 60 Med kits and 30 pairs of walkie talkies. Victor is incredibly thankful. . . . .
