Who am I?

I’m Willie Coetser aged 58 living in Heilbron, Freestate a province in South Africa. Heilbron is about 60miles from Kroonstad, and 100 mile from Johannesburg.

My 1st wife passed away in 2005. She had her 1st amorism at age 32 and her 4th amorism at age 48, when she died.

I met my 2nd wife in 2007; we married in 2008, then I relocated from Durban to Heilbron.

Background

I’m self-employed, doing building repairs and maintenance.

In October 2010, I secured a contract in Santon 120 miles from my home in Heilbron which ended January 2012.

After arriving back in Heilbron I have noticed, the economy has taken its toll in our town as well. Big companies like Clover have moved their head office to the big city in Johannesburg area. Other big companies have shut down operations.

Heilbron area is in the grain belt, therefore mostly farming. The farmers are such handy people;

They do most of their own repairs.

I’m constantly preparing quotations for work and secure less than 5%. My debt are escalating faster than what I can repay.

Current situation in Business

I was given the opportunity to take over an Ice making business. Now I’m supplying to Ice to shops and a local supermarket. The turnover of this is currently averaging $800 per month. This is but not enough to sustain us and service my debt.

In December's our summer holidays, the demand is always extremely high. The current production are 110 bags a day. Over the December our summer holidays, I lost an average of 500 bags of ice per day, due to the fact we do not have freezer cold storage for ice in Heilbron. Our town Heilbron water supply is not keeping up with the demand. To sustain a constant water supply, a tank would need to be installed.

Why I’m reaching out for assistance

I’m aiming to expand, but due to my adverse credit rating the financial institutions are not willing to forward any monies to expand. My credit rating plummeted because of a lack of repairs contracts.

I have been approached by a Cash and Carry bulk supplier to the smaller café’s and supermarkets to supply ice to them. I could not the area is 70 miles from me.

I require upgrading in order for me to expanding. After my expansion, I am able to meet the new demand of supplying to the 20 smaller supermarkets’ and café’s.

Planned expansion

In order for me to expand I require the following:

            MV 606 Scottsman Ice maker.

           19ft 8in x 9ft 10in Freezer room.

            1320 Gallon stainless water tank andpump.

            I’ll be using my Toyota Hilux LDV for deliveries, but I require an Ice freezer bin.

           

The cost to start this expansion is $18000.

Increase in Turnover

The current 1680 bags of ice generate the $800 per month.

Once the new equipment is installed the production shall increase to 200 bags a day, about 5000 bags with stock into the freezer room.

The demand for Ice in the summer can be be met and my turnover increase to between $2200 and $3000.

Seasons

Our season are different to yours, we heading for autumn, my aim is to have the expansion completed before our spring.

Conclusion

In order for me to be FULLY self-supported, I am therefore FORCED to request your assistance, to enable me to obtain these items listed above, for expanding my business.

The expanded business shall generate enough income to meet all my monthly commitments and pay off debt.
