Soqui Business Proposal
Slogan: Soqui Find The Perfect Employee
Intellectual property of Normalbus DBA of Jacob David C. Cunningham
Soqui is a search engine designed for Employers. Any person displayed is currently unemployed.
Why is it valuable?
Soqui will be an industry standard for employers searching for employees.
Soqui will make resumes obsolete. Why? Resumes need to be fact checked. References need to be checked. Other employee search websites allow the employees to post any skills as they please, for instance Linked In.
With Soqui, only employers or educational systems can create accounts for you and only these entities can add credentials to your profile. The only features an employee can change are his/her photo and synopsis.
Using an optimized ranking algorithm, the employees returned by a profession search are displayed top to bottom.
Ranking parameters are the following:
- National Universities rankings
- Punctuality based on 1 to 10
- Experience based on years
- Criminal backgrond : misdeameanors, felonies
- References based on position
- Performance based on 1 to 10
- Attitude based on 1 to 10
- Leadership qualities boolean true or false
Soqui can legally "blacklist" former employees. For example an employee may be terminated and the reason for termination can be legally disclosed.
Where does the money come from?
Similar to Forbes, Soqui will generate revenue from advertising. Every time a profile is viewed, an ad is displayed before the profile is shown or preferrably a low key side banner. Alternatively a flat rate fee can be paid. Ads are only displayed when a profile is viewed, otherwise Soqui is clean with minimal distractions.
What does Soqui need to exist?
Money immediately comes to mind. To list some immediate expenses:
$ 2,050.00 for registering the LLC
$ 189.00 for trademark filing fee
I have asked for $50,000.00 as a minimum for the following expenses: I need accountants to manage the payment system and taxes. I will need offices, customer service, Server farms and Human resources to build their S.E.T. ( Soqui Employee Transcript ) which covers factors such as : punctuality, performance, experience, education, criminal background and references. There are surely other cost factors that will come to light.
Inherent problems with Soqui
For Soqui to exist, employers and educators need to start creating entries. But why would they?
Take the iPhone for instance. Initially no one wanted an iPhone until there was an iPhone. The iPhone revolutionized the phone industry similar to how Soqui will revolutionize the employment industry.
To be more general, a smartphone in any househould is a staple of our modern society. Why? We have created a need that did not exist.
The design of Soqui
The search results that are shown in descending order to an employer from left to right is as follows :
- Improving or getting worse ( arrow )
- Ranking based on star rating system ( leaves )
- Do they have a picture ( crossed out )
- First and last name
- Location
Soqui is very simple. The languages required for Soqui to be built are :
HTML
CSS
PHP
SQL
Python ( algorithm-based ranking ) *may not be needed if PHP can do the math
Soqui is comprised of these key web pages:
· Main search engine with automated randomized keyword search and display
· Individual profile page
· Validation page
· Create profile page
· About page
· Settings
A simulation of these pages will be shown in order excluding the about and settings page which can vary in design.
There is also a page that will be required for handling payments if companies choose to pay a flat rate fee which will simply comment out a line of code once the transaction has been completed thereby not showing ads for each profile viewed.

Taking down the site for a while
Update posted by Jacob David Cunningham at 06:12 pmI own the domain and I will return to this project but I need to make money. I'm going to set up a computer repair service and I need the IP address of the three that I own and point it to the one Soqui.us is using. I know that. . . . .
Soqui.us is back up again
Update posted by Jacob David Cunningham at 07:54 pmWell, I got the server situation figured out This isn't a huge priority on my part so I'm not going to work on this project for a while. But I will return to it, even if the idea doesn't start (the idea is very valuable) but it will be more
Soqui.us is down
Update posted by Jacob David Cunningham at 11:06 amI'm having some trouble configuring the VPS, have to figure out where the separate IP addresses are. My current parent site is up though, normalbus.com I had Cunningham Technologies in mind but alas it has been taken
A break
Update posted by Jacob David Cunningham at 07:57 pmI'm taking a break from developing this website for now I'm working on a different project, a dating website: d2nd8.com Once that is built, which has its own share of headaches, then I can let that grow its member base and continue working on this. I'm also working on my. . . . .
Soqui.us is live!
Update posted by Jacob David Cunningham at 01:41 pmCheck it out ! http://www.soqui.us.com Anyway, it's just an image at this point but I own the server, the name and now it's a matter of programming. I've got to set up a database, the search bar, ranking algorithm, fake profiles, randomized profession search results and other stuff... I'm not
Purchased Soqui.us and VPS
Update posted by Jacob David Cunningham at 10:35 pmI purchased Soqui.us as .com was already taken. It was a small fee of $4.99. Then I bought a Virtual Private Server (VPS) which gives me 3GB of Ram and the cpu spces as well as 3TB of bandwith a month. Seems plenty.
Initial progress and purchase
Update posted by Jacob David Cunningham at 10:03 amI'm not saying that Soqui is easy, far from it really. The software is not hard. Starting Soqui is what is hard. Today assuming that my sale of my laptop goes through, losing money here, a fully functional Lenovo ideapad S415 valued on average $400.00 for $140. It does have. . . . .
