Sophie’s hearing aids

Sophie needs help to get the hearing aids she needs for a better quality of life. The NHS can't help so she needs to go to a private specialist. She can't do this alone, any tiny amount you can spare would be hugely appreciated. In her words:

"these powerful hearing aids are going to cost 3700. Half of which I will need to pay off myself in the coming year and without your help I'll be unable to.

My hearing loss ranges around the moderate/severe mark and my left ear has frequencies that are teetering on profound hearing loss. The nature of my hearing problem is that it's the nerve in the ear which is very damaged and it's the whole Middle section of sound that I struggle mostly with - that of speech etc. The higher and lower ends are not so bad. Because of the extent of damage in the inner ear, I also suffer with extremely sensitive ears, there is not a lot of leeway between hearing something and it then being too loud it hurts. These hearing aids should be set to cover this which ive not had on any other aids before.

I don't want to put down the NHS at all as I think they have been saviours for many but due to the complex nature of my ears it's just been hard luck they couldn't help me.

It is indeed a rich mans world and although it shouldn't be, it is. Wrongly or rightly though, I do feel I will get better care through harley street."
