Why am I raising money?

My children are the best, I have 4, Tyler is 16, Jacob is 15 and Alyssa and Alex are 12. I could not ask for better kids. They deserve alot more than what I can give, which this year I do not have any extra money to spend on gifts for them or christmas dinner.

I would really like to get them some shoes, pants, socks and underwear. That will be the first thing they will get when you donate. I would also like to get them some board games and some other things they may want.

Why can I not afford it this year?

I was working a very good job. My hours were not good at all. I worked 3pm to 1:30 am. I did not see my children at all. None of us was happy. I took a day job that was much less pay, but I see them all the time now and we are all much happier.

We have been living with my grandmother, a few years ago my grandfather passed away and left this house in terrible condition for my grandmother to maintain. Without his income she can not afford to keep this house up. I give her most of my income monthly so we can just afford to live. I am going back to school in the spring to bring in some extra income when I am done with school. Untill then It will be pretty hard.

Most importantly I want my children to see that if I can work, go to school and take care of them, then they can do anything they set their mind to.
