Solidarity without Borders

Colleagues, friends and neighbours embark on a fundraising campaign to raise funds for Giridhar Allem who in September suffered a brain trauma which has left him hospitalised since with no movement or communication and limited responsiveness. The progress is slow and prognosis is as yet undetermined. The money that we raise will be used to provide Giri and his family with financial support for therapy, equipment, adaptations and other expenses that arise as a result of his injury.

Giri is the father of 2 very small children and as a result of his hospitalisation the family are under immense pressure. Aside of the immediate family who are here from India, Giri's wife relies heavily on the community around her consisting of friends and colleagues. There will be numerous fundraising activities taking place over the next weeks cumulating at the end of January when Vodafone employees hit the road again in bleak mid winter in order to raise money for this valuable cause.
