In 2014, Raghav Shukla, Class of 2015, launched an ambitious project called Solar for Dover which aimed to install 860 solar panels across three College buildings - the Senior Sports Hall, the Junior Sports Hall and the Art Block.
Thanks to the fantastic support from the UWCSEA community, Phase 1 (the Senior Sports Hall) was completed at the end of last year. Since then, over 50 tons of CO2 have been prevented from being released into the atmosphere - that is the equivalent of planting 4040 trees!
There aren't many panels left to adopt, and it would be nice if we could adopt (at least) one as a class. This also helps those who would like to contribute towards the project, but aren't so keen about the implied $100 minimum donation. :)
All proceeds get donated to the school. We also need to think of something to embellish the panel(s) with, too...
