First of all, it should be cheaper than any other brand. Including Toyota, BMW, Mercedes. So as may you have noticed, at first I’m finding cheap average engines and speed controllers as fast as Motorbike. It’s understood that Motorbikes are quite fast these days. The aim is to reduce the cost of production to the minimum. Me and another car engineer are working on an simple and cheap to build vehicle skeleton made of common alumium bars and sheets. We’re at the moment designing various prototypes. The vehicle is intended to poor countries. To people who can’t afford an average $10,000 vehicle. It only rely on Electricity as energy source and is constantly recharging it’s batteries as it’s parking outside. The aim to reduce polution. It doesn’t rely on Petrol. There are two batteries, one for the Electric Engine and the other for smart speed controller and media system. This include GPS, back camera, touch screen with various media applications like phones, Android...etc. As for the wheels, common off-road Quad wheels will be in use. These are cheap and readily available when ordered in bulk from China. Then there’s brakes, engine placements...etc This part will be designed by a professional engineer willing to assist us within the project. We want to be able to build this car with less than $2000 of ressources manpower excluded. And we’ll sell it for less than $3000. This is achievable if we use common available materials and resources. Also the parts of the vehicles can be detached and improved. Example, better wheels can be added, stronger engines. The vehicle can be customized by the owner and since the vehicles uses cheap and common pieces and materials, it will be easy to repair. No Gas, no Petrol in use. It will be an Affordable Clean Energy Car and that can be produced in all countries at very low cost. This Vehicle will change the lives of millions of people who can’t afford a $15,000 vehicle. Cheap, Easy to repair, can be customized to need, smart. This car will change the Solar Powered Car industry within emerging nations. And there’s a huge market for it. Bigger than for current outdated gas car models.

Dude, you want to create a solar car but you have no idea how it works. You are talking about the engine only. It’s like someone who wants to create a laptop and who focuses only on the hard disk and screen. And no, i’m not an expert. An expert in solar energy will charge you 5000usd for that. A designer specialised in car mechanics will charge 2000usd at least. And that’s only consultancy. We are not talking about labour and raw materials. And explain to me how this car would be first of it’s kind? What are you adding to it? What innovation? How are you planning to compete with toyota and bmw models? What’s your business plan? What’s your marketing plan? What’s your production plan? We have to know all of this before injecting any capital.

Conceiving a car requires at least 150,000 bucks man. And putting it on the market requires 10x that budget. The vehicle on that image already exists. Copyright issues. Toyota, mercedes, bmw, nissan and so much more are already on that wave. Your project proposal is incomplete. We don’t know about the shielding gas, welding electrodes, gearbox, coil shocks, wheel hub ect. After the frp body, these are the things that cost the most. Write down a new project with smart objectives (specific, measurable, actionable,relevant and timebound) and then you will consider asking for funds. For now, no one will fund this. It’s a sketch, not a project.
