Recirculation aquaculture recirculation system or Aquaculture System ( RAS ) that has been used since the 1990s , is a relatively new cultivation techniques and unique in the fishing industry . The system uses techniques of aquaculture with high density in a confined space (indoor ) , sertakondisi controlled environment so as to increase the production of fish on land and water are limited , increasing the production of fish throughout the year , the flexibility of location production , disease control , and does not depend on the season . An intensive aquaculture recirculation system which is an attractive alternative to replace the extensive system , and suitable to be applied in areas with limited land and water . The basic components of recirculation aquaculture system consists of : 1 . Tub maintenance of fish / tank culture ( growing tanks ) which is where fish maintenance , can be made of plastic , metal , wood , glass , rubber , or other materials that can withstand water , non- corrosive , and non-toxic to fish . 2 . Particulate filter ( sump particulate ) which aims to filter solid material dissolved in order not to clog the biofilter or consume oxygen supply . 3 . Biofilter is a major component of the recirculation system . Biofilter is the venue for biofiltration some toxic compounds such as NH4 + and NO2 - . Basically , the biofilter is nitrifying bacteria to grow and thrive . 4 . Supplier of oxygen ( aerator ) which serves to maintain dissolved oxygen levels in the water to keep it high . 5 . Recirculation pump ( water recirculation pump ) which serves to direct the flow of water . The use of recirculation aquaculture systems , can provide the advantage that it maintains a good culture environment during feeding for optimal fish growth . Excess recirculation system in controlling , maintaining and sustaining water quality indicates that the recirculation system has a close relationship with the improvement of water quality in wastewater treatment , particularly from the biological aspects . Akuaponik technology is one alternative that can be implemented within the framework of solving the water shortage . Besides, the technology also has the advantage akuaponik other form of additional income from crops that will increase the benefits of fish farmers . For that I need a donation of U.S. $ 5,000 to build a catfish farm . there are no funds donated will be used to build a fish farm using a model tank with Recerculating Air System .
